Squawk by JaneyArt Squawk by JaneyArt
It's human nature to go for the underdog and despite my irrational fear of birds I sure hope this plucky lil squawker got away.

Graphite on canson.

Those fence palings almost did my head in, they were so tedious.

The two actors make the image very much alive.

Why not paint artificial marble in another picture according to the wood?

ha! this is awesome!
checked the reference and you nailed it!
ok. now i'm gonna bore you with an idea of mine that this sorta reminds me of.
i wanna do a 'take' on the 'early bird gets the word' saying.
except in my idea there would be a cat with a slight smile on his face with what appears to be the tail feathers of a bird
sticking out of his mouth and next to him would be a worm sticking out of a hole looking up at the cat with a sort of 'gulp!' look
on his face.
the caption would be:
'the earlier cat.'
get it? get it?
come oooooooooooooon.
you get it right?
hmmmm.
a bit dark maybe?
;)

anyway,.............
excellent job!
sorry for the blather!
but you sorta brought it on yourself with your fantastic piece!

how you draw the fence is great! Really!! The picture is also interesting for me, cause I have the feeling the bird will triumphate over the cat. And big congrats for the fence!!!
